Dear TTU - members and board members as well as the Elder Council and the Club instructors.
Now it's almost Christmas and the end of the year 2009. When I look back to the beginning of this year - I see that we have done so many things. One of them is that we have decided to switch to a new dobok. - Because I think this suit fits TTU s philosophy and technique. It also refers to others what we do in Taekwondo.
I have since received a lot of positive comments - but one club has disagrees and has withdrawn its membership in the TTU. This is a club from Island. Of course, this a sad and makes me hurt - but I hope you understand that I will not go back on my decision. Lately som TTU's member clubs wanted to buy suits and other equipment from the TTU-shop. But many times we have not had the goods in stock - and have not been able to provide it as quickly as desired. I think TTU-shop's main point is to provide the best possible service to members. I have designed the new suit with inspiration from old military costumes from Korea.
A small workshop in Korea has given us excellent quality and service. I would like to continue this cooperation - because we here achieves 100% traditional Korean handicrafts. I think this is appropriate for TTU's Taekwondo - Spirit. So I wish and hope that all member clubs and members use this suit for training - grading and demonstration.
Thank you to TTU - President Allan Olsen and his great efforts for TTU! He has made all the images to the new TTU-book. Book No. 4 coming in 2010.
Next year's Summer Festival will be held in Denmark. It will be exciting to move the festival to another location. I think that there will be a great success in every way. Welcome to all of Taekwondo - family! It is also Allan Olsen and Islev Taekwondo - Club who helped with this event.
Next February, the Elder Council planned to meet here in Bergen. Through this meeting we will train together - and discuss the new TTU-curriculum.
For more than 10 years ago, we started the TTU - organization. Through my dream - that Taekwondo is not just a sport - but an art and lifestyle! Not only for children or young people - I want great width - no limit to age, gender or nationality. Today we look at TTU as an organization - it is no longer just a dream - but a real photo i am looking at.
It means that we have had great success. I am sure that within the next 10 years, the TTU will be one of the most important Taekwondo-groups in the world. So that is why all members need to try hard training with a high concentration of TTU's philosophy!
We will soon enter a new year - I wish all members a Merry Christmas - and a Happy New Year!
