Dear TTU - members!

A greeting from GM Cho

Dear TTU - members!

I hope that you all are doing well, and that you start exercising now that it's new season. TTU has done so much in the recent past - Summer Festival in Denmark –Trip to Korea in July - and Cameroon TaeKwonDo seminar in August.

I would like to thank all the instructors at the Summer Festival – and thanks to the Board for the hard work on all levels!
Summer Festival was a success in the end. And of course many thanks to Islev Taekwondo-club, well done for the festival.

Through the Korea trip, all participants and I presented TTU spirit and philosophy – and the new TTU suit. Other participants from other countries - including participants and instructors from Korea - commented on the suit - and thought it was very pretty.
Thanks to all the participants of the Korea-trip!

Henry from Kongsberg, held a seminar in his home country of Cameroon.
It was a 3-day seminar and 1-day Black Belt-graduation. At the seminar it was about 40 participants - and there were 27 participants at the graduation.

This was the first time I visited Africa. Before I went - I knew that it was difficult conditions - both economically and politically - but I looked forward to seeing culture, and to see a different and stunning scenery.

I met TaeKwonDo - members of Cameroon. All participants had a very high desire to learn from the instructor.

At the time I felt that it was a little difficult - especially when I looked at them - the suit and belt - many had made their own belt .... I think it's because they cannot afford anything else.

I would like all TTU - members will assist members in Cameroon in the future. Example: second-hand suits – belts and other equipment. If you or your club has any equipment you no longer use, and want to assist members in Cameroon, you may send it to Henri. He will collect it, and send it to Cameroon. Send to this address.

I have received e-mail from them - they are thanking for the seminar and graduation - and they want to sign up as members of the TTU!

New season starts now - and training is not always a joy to follow. Training might initially be hard and give us pain. We all know that to constantly eat sweet candy and sweet drinks are not so good for the body and health - but when we are bad we eat medicine that tastes bitter.
It is the same as that through training we will experience hurt and pain – which makes us better in both body and mind!

Remember TaeKwonDo-training is this: I fight against myself first!

Good luck in all training programs - and we'll see you somewhere ....

Best Regards from  Grand Master Cho Woon Sup.
