New Video & Important Information ahead of the TTU Summer Festival

Here's a new informational video in the lead-up to the TTU Summer Festival. It was recorded on Sunday and contains important updates for clubs, participants, and attendees. Although it's arriving a bit late, we highly recommend that everyone take a moment to watch it.

đŸ”č Key Takeaways from the Video:

  • ✅ Registration is still open – there's still time to join this year's festival!
  • đŸ›ïž The dormitory is now full. Those who have been assigned a room will soon receive confirmation and payment instructions. Important: Rooms not paid for by the deadline will be passed on to the next person on the waiting list.
  • đŸ§‘â€đŸ€â€đŸ§‘ All clubs must register their Dorm Supervisor and Club Leader as soon as possible – this is essential for planning and safety.
  • đŸ„‹ TTU Cup registration is openttu.no/ttu-cup
  • đŸȘ“ Sleggeball Tournament registration is also openttu.no/sleggeball
  • đŸ’Ș Push-ups Challenge between Norway and Denmark starts July 1st: ttu.no/push-ups-challenge
  • 🏆 Award nominations: Submit your candidates for Female and Male Athlete of the Year, Instructor of the Year, and Club of the Year.

📈 We are now approaching 300 registered participants, so this is shaping up to be a lively and unforgettable festival!

đŸ—Łïž From the Video – Live from the Dan Seminar in HĂžnefoss:

Eirik and Master Anders report live from Ringerike Taekwondo Club:

  • The festival is just two and a half weeks away, and there’s still time to register for those who haven’t signed up yet.
  • Dorm rooms have been filled, and those who secured a room will soon receive confirmation and a payment request. Note: If payment isn’t made by the deadline, the room will be reassigned.
  • Most clubs have submitted their Dorm Supervisor and Club Leader, but we still need responses from the remaining ones to ensure smooth coordination.
  • The Competition Day during the festival includes both the TTU Cup and the Sleggeball Tournament. An updated rule set for the Sleggeball event is provided along with this message.
  • This year, we’re introducing a new and exciting challenge: a Push-ups National Match between Norway and Denmark! The challenge runs from July 1st until the final day of the festival. Clubs and individuals can register their push-ups using a form that will be available on TTU.no. We’ll tally the results and crown the fittest country at the end of the festival.
  • Finally, we encourage everyone to submit their nominations for the awards: Female Athlete of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, Club of the Year, and Instructor of the Year. The more nominees we have, the better the selection!

🎉 We look forward to seeing you all at the Summer Festival!
Please share this information with your club – and make sure everyone registers, nominates, and prepares for this summer’s highlight!

Thanks for watching!
– From Eirik & Master Anders

The festival is coming closer - a little update

Hey everybody!

The annual TTU Summer Festival is approaching, and I thought I’d drop by with a quick update.

In the past few days, registrations have been pouring in, which is absolutely fantastic. June 1st was the last day for regular registration. Of course, it will still be possible to sign up, but with a small extra cost.

In addition to training, there will, as usual, be other activities during the festival. We’ll have a competition day, featuring both the TTU-Cup and the sledgeball tournament. More information about this will be shared very soon, and there will be pre-festival registration for both of these events.

On top of that, we’ll soon be announcing a push-up showdown between Denmark and Norway. I’m still waiting on some info from a couple of enthusiastic Danes, but the idea is that participants will log their push-ups starting from a set date and throughout the festival. After counting everything up, the fittest country will be declared and awarded—so yes, there’s a bit of glory on the line here.

During the festival, we’ll also be awarding the prestigious titles: Club of the Year, Male and Female Athlete of the Year, and Instructor of the Year. As TTU’s Kodanja leader, I’d like you to send your nominations for these awards to me via email at eirik@ttu.no.

If I keep writing, this won’t be a quick update anymore—so I’ll just say thanks, get yourselves signed up, and I’ll see you all very soon!

Only NOK 200 for Toddlers – T-Shirt Included!

Children aged 0–5 only pay NOK 200 for the entire festival. They can also receive a T-shirt. This way, it won’t be expensive for families with young kids to bring the whole clan to the summer festival in Evje! Please note that training is mainly for children aged 6 and up.

Registration for this year's TTU Summer Festival is now live.

Registration is done individually, and via https://sommerfestival.ttu.no/pamelding

Be careful to fill in all relevant points before submitting.

Here is a short video, which shows the registration process, as well as how to join the Summer Festival group in "Spond". Spond will be used as an information and update channel during the festival.

Hope there is a lot of buzz around the clubs, and that there are many who want to participate

Feel free to spread the information to relevant clubs and participants.

See you :D

The prices are out, but where are we?!

Hey hey! It’s time for a new update. Time flies, and it’s already Easter break for many. The prices for this year’s Summer Festival are now available at TTU.no.

The prices for the Summer Festival include:

  • Access to many different training sessions each day. These will be led by TTU Masters and Grandmasters from Norway and Denmark, as well as instructors from Korea in Sparring, traditional Korean dance, and Sun-mudo.
  • Accommodation in classrooms, or alternatively in tents and on campsites.
  • Three meals per full day.
  • Access to TTU-Dan-graduation, opening ceremony, and closing ceremony.
  • Competition day with TTU-Cup and Sledgeball tournament.
  • Festival T-shirt.

Options with an extra cost:

  • Dorm room rental.
  • Festival hoodie.

During the festival, there will also be:

  • TTU shop
  • Snack bar
  • Various activities for children throughout the week
  • If the July weather allows, a group trip to the local "tropical beach": Hornnestangen

Registration is expected to open shortly after the Easter holiday.
We can now confirm that there will be the opportunity to rent rooms in the attached dormitory, just like at previous Summer Festivals in Evje. Room rental will follow a first come, first served policy, where participants will be placed on a waiting list and pay separately if a rom is secured.
The deadline for regular registration is June 1st, 2025. That means up to and including June 1st. From June 2nd, all prices will increase by 10%, and the festival T-shirt will not be included.

At the sumerfestival pages at TTU.no, you can now find prices, the schedule, and an overview of this year’s instructors, as well as a map of the festival area.
More information will be coming soon!

Now it's important to spread the good word, so I hope you’re all enthusiastic about getting as many members from clubs around the country as possible to join. Feel free to share with neighboring clubs too – even if they’re not TTU members, they’re of course also welcome!

The video attached is, of course, about this year’s updated pricing info, but I’ve also included a throwback to a video from 2019, when Evje hosted the Summer Festival for the very first time. It’s a video showing where Evje is and how to get there from both within Norway and abroad. Enjoy!

Hope to see you soon!

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to take part in TTU's Summer Festival 2025, in Evje

Hi everyone!
Here is a video about this year's summer festival. I hope you all manage to create excitement in the clubs around, so that we manage to gather as many participants as possible to Evje this summer, both TTU athletes, but also athletes from outside of TTU.
Feel free to share the event, so that as many people as possible get the information that comes out, going forward.
