The Norwegian Martial Arts Federation's Coach 1 part 1 course
Offers to TTU members who are or will be instructors
TTU has many skilled instructors, but we can always further develop. TTU and The Elder Counsil have a desire and goal to increase the instructors' qualifications, as well as help new instructors to get a good start on their coaching career. We therefore sponsor large parts of Coach 1, Part 1 during the summer camp.
From the Martial Arts Association, it has been decided that at least one person should have a trainer's license in clubs with more than 50 members or where the majority of the members are children and young people. The requirement to fulfill / be granted a trainer's license has been completed and approved trainer 1 or 2 education. The requirement comes into force on 1 January 2020. From January 1, 2017, Norway's Martial Arts Association issues and registers coach licenses. Coaches who have completed courses in the period 2007 to 2017 may apply for a license until December 31, 2020. Coaches who complete the approved trainer training program 2017 will automatically receive a license.
The education will be a stamp of quality for the relevant coach and club, and is a recognition of his or her competence.
Contents The course is set up with both theory, group and practice tasks and undergoes a number of topics, including:
- Training Principles
- Damage and damage treatment / CPR
- Basic training
- Training Planning
- The trainer role
- Speed Training
- Endurance training
- Flexibility Training
- Age related training
Before getting approved Coach 1, parts 1 and 2 must be completed. Prior to both courses, e-learning / self-study must be completed before attending the course. In addition, a 45-hour trainer's practice must be carried out in your home club. The practice must be logged in a template from NKF, and submitted for approval and registration.
During the Autumn of 2019, the Martial Arts Association will organize its own part 2 courses around Norway. Depending on how many people take the course during the summer camp, it may also be appropriate to arrange a separate part 2 course during one of TTU's own gatherings. By attending the course during the summer camp, you can complete the entire Trainer 1 course in 2019. So whether you are new to the coaching role, want or aim for the coach license, this is a great deal.
